Saige has been so depressed all summer because she hasn't seen a frog or caught one. Normally we find them in our flowerbeds or in our yard but for some reason they have been scarce. One day while Mark took the girls on a hike in Oneonta Gorge they found a tiny frog and then they found this guy. Saige was so excited to finally have a playmate she could hardly stand it. This frog lived with us for 5 days before we decided it was time to let him go before he died. We were able to feed him some moths and flies but not as much as he normally would eat. He tried escaping one time in a habitat/fenced in area that Saige had made for him-in fact it was right after this photo, and he nearly squished himself to death trying to get through a tiny square. Thankfully with Saige and I together we were able to save him, what a terrible death that would have been. We hope he is happy and we know he had a lot of fun with Saige in those few days-slip and sliding, jumping on the tramp, building new homes etc... What a funtastic froggy time.
