We ended June with a big bang of a Brennan Celebration. We had a fabulous reunion at the Dad and Mom Brennan's house. It was such a blast to get together with all of the aunt's, uncle's, cousins and friends. The weather was HOT and the thunderstorms were a plenty. I don't think there were a lot of dull moments-just a lot of catching up to do and visiting.
Here are 2 of Mark's sister Emily and Tamera-I don't think you could ask for anything sweeter.
The newly weds Gordon and Lauren whom announced that they are expecting a little one early next year-YEAH
Saige, Isabella and Leah all 6 year olds. It is so fun to have the cousins up for a few weeks since we only get to see them one or two times a year. We miss them and love them.
One special evening the boys put all their money together and ordered a marine sword for their father. The story goes that when their dad was doing school-he had 3 children and he sold all his marine officer uniforms and sword to a new enlisted soldier-so they could have money. Dad has regretted it since that day and has always wanted to somehow get another one-but was never able to manage it (it takes a lot of leg work, money and studying). So the boys all contributed money to give this sword as a symbolism of all his sacrifices as a father.
It was quite emotional-never in john's wildest dreams did he ever think that he would hold one or own one of these treasured things again.
All the boys with their father and a picture of David (he wasn't able to make it since he is the army reserves and training at a camp.) An old joke, when Mark's fathers family did a photo their Dad missed it because of a long meeting and so they had his picture in the back ground-ha ha.
Grandpa and Grandma Brennan live in the Gorge but they also live in the bluff area so most of their yard is a hill. Grandpa had some leftover material from his work and he laid it out for the kids to use as a slip-n-slide, a real treat for all the kids-the poor grass was ruined afterwards.
I think Ambria played out their the longest of our family members
Aunt Lauren entertained the kids in the living room with giving the "body" quizzes. She would ask them more complex questions then "where are your hands, where is your head?" Instead she would ask, "where are your flanges? etc.."

The Brennan Family Reunion 2008 TOOO MUUUCHHH FUUUNNNN
My sweet little Rylan whom loves to wear shoes 3x her size or more. She prefers the comfortable feeling of BIGNESS.
Before everyone arrived for the reunion some of the kids roasted Marshmallows on the fire pit that Grandpa had out in the back yard-You even walked away feeling like you had been camping.
Some of the silly girl cousins-Kennedy, Leah, ambria and Saige-These girls can entertain themselves for hours playing on the tramp, make believe, goofing off and so much more.
Here is Saige and her favorite new buddy "Sage" one of her cousins-Savannah and Rylan are with them also. Both Saige's couldn't wait to play with one another-it must be the name because they are both so cute.

wow what fun. It is getting me excited about coming home for the Torrey get together. It is so awesome that so many of you guys were able to be together and enjoy each other you sure can see the love this family has toward each other.
Wow, what a big family! It looks like you guys had SO much fun. And how thoughtful of the boys to get John the sword. Everyone looks so happy. I wish I had more siblings.
