We headed out for Fathers day weekend to camp at Fort Stevens Campground. We use to go there when I was a little girl for a few weeks at a time-The bike trails are great for kids. When we were younger we would make so many friends and play games at the playgrounds. It is one of the nations largest campgrounds-almost too many people for me now.We did however take advantage of the bike trails and all the things it had to offer. Funny thing though while camping we came across a few families we know. The Tactays were only about 4 spots down from us-friends from Hood River. Here is Chelsea and I lookin' good-it was early in the morning.
Then only one area over were the BLACKS. Their whole family came up for the weekend for a mini reunion. It was a blast getting to see them all since I haven't in a very long time. Who knows whom else was in the rest of the camp ground-we may have known a lot more people, such a small world.

Mari and Darren with part of
their family. Then me and ma and pa Black. Another little side note, when we were younger we also use to camp with the Blacks in many different areas-Fort Stevens being one of the areas.

We had lots of different types of weather-Pouring down rain, Sun shine, clouds, fog, you name it. We traveled down to hug point, one of our favorite beaches to walk and look at the caves. The tide was going out but a little bit slower than we thought. Mark and
Rylan got caught up in trying to pass around the rocks.

We went on several beach walks attempting to look for sand dollars-instead the girls just argued over who's stick was the longest, who got to hold dad's right hand, who's shell was the least broken. Ya know lots of fun. I did like this photo with Mark and his girls.

Yes that is me laying down on the beach-My favorite place because when it is a little cold-normally if you lay down their is less wind and the sand collects some heat-so I lay and watch the kids.
Rylan was being hilarious with tons of funny poses for Mark.

A girl after my own heart.

Sitting at the beach when everyone is happy and the sun is shining is a wonderful feeling.

PSYCHO GIRL

Sometimes we can get a little
spontaneous and do things that we don't really want to do but we know the kids would love it. On this particular day we drove to the beach instead of riding our bikes and we brought wood, stuff for hot dogs and
smores, chairs and all the goods. We had a campfire on the beach and enjoyed ourselves. Keeping sand out of the food was a treat especially since we forgot the plates & napkins in the car-
woops.
Saige loves her art work-and writing fun blurbs.

A tad bit cold-thanks
hunny
Rylan loved exploring all over and she collected tons of broken shells and sand dollars-her hands were so full that she started loading them in her sweater. Somehow we were able to have her leave them at the beach-thank heavens.
Ambria loves being the oldest but she loves being a kids too.

Attacked by frogs. We gave
Saige a pack of frog stickers and they didn't last too long. As you can see they were put to bad use.

One of our many biking trips out to the beach. It was fun to cruise around with the girls. The only non biking fan we have is
Rylan, because she can only sit in the trailer and
she get's very bored (though she falls asleep
every time).Fun exercise-I am not sure how I got roped in to being the one pulling the bike trailer. Mark was kind and rode beside me on one of the hills and pushed my back so that I could have a little more
momentum. I am not sure how he rode his bike one handed and pushed me-such talent.

All in all it was a great weekend with a few interesting experiences, lots of kids fights, good times with friends, great bike rides, yummy food, good card games and a little bit of sleep.

what a great mom and family. It looks like you had so much fun. I love the fire on the beach dinner I would think no way too much work.
Love to hear about your camping trip, Tammy! Those are great times; good for you to work that in!
Love the frog attach!
