Independence day

The fourth of July is always a happening day-For me in begins at the crack of dawn. I am in charge of the Church's breakfast and activity. I do say it came with plenty of struggles but it is over and I can move on to the next activity-thank goodness. We did all the usual family activities and had one heck of a day. The weather was hotter than the fireworks, no complaints here-I take it over rain anytime.

Here is Ambria and her best friend Morgan at the fourth of July Parade-true goof balls Saige took in all of the screaming, candy, parade attractions and cousins.

Rylan actually went to the candy this year instead of me getting it for her.

Once Rylan had all that she wanted she went and took a seat on her aunt Kelsey's lap to share her spoils.

The kids found that if they were more kind to the parade people they would get more candy and goods. So you would hear an occasional "Cool Car", "I love your outfit", "you rock" etc. Morgan, Ambria, Cody, Saige and Samantha.

We love to go spend the day at Tucker Park after all the morning activities. It is a time to relax, cool off, unwind and just have a good day. This year the water seemed a heck of a lot colder than ever before so for any of us to get in meant numb legs and extreme body temp. drop. Saige, Renee', Cody, Tammy, Morgan, Ambria, Patrick, and Justin.

After lots of fun and the river we went up to Grandma and Grandpa Brennans to have a bbq and some slip and slide time. All the kids had a blast going up and down the huge slide- Samantha and Saige blasting through the water.

Rylan even went to the top this year and went down a million times-she loved it.

Baby Keira (I hope that is how you spell it) was all smiles once she woke up from her nap. It was fun to visit with Nathan and Sarah along with all the Lokkens, Taylors and family.

Of course we head down to the port for the evening and await the fire work show. This one of the best times because we can lounge around, the kids can swim, we can visit with family and friends. It also is great down time from a long day.

The Websters were able to come hang out with us down at the Port-Saige didn't even have to pay Scott for this fun ride.

An unexpected visitor came to the fourth and sat close near us- Saige's friend Miriam. These 2 girls were so giddy that they ran into each other and of course they had to watch the fireworks together. So Ambria was chilling with Morgan while Saige chilled with Miriam and Rylan chilled with baby Kaedra.

Over all it was a fantastic day and we had a blast. Happy fourth of July. I am so glad for our freedom and the country we live in we are truly a blessed people.
