Soldiers

The Brennan's have a long line of family members serving for their country. John has served and now David and Gordon are both serving in the army. David left in January to head to the middle east for a long leave. In the olden days when a mother and father had a son serve in the war or for the country they would put a star in their window to let others know that they had someone serving. So Marilyn got a crafty quilt idea and made stars for every family to have so we could put it up in our windows as a way for the kids to remember their uncle serving and a way for us to remember David's service. We are all very proud of him and what he is doing for our country. I think any service is selfless and a wonderful way to show respect and love for your country.

That's an awesome idea! Levi's mom just went to the east this last week, and his dad leaves sometime this summer. Dad also goes on deployment sometime in the fall. Levi will more than likely leave for a deployment sometime within the next year.
