A few weeks back the sun came out for the day (yes it was still freezing and the wind was blowing) but THERE WAS SUNSHINE. Of course we couldn't let the day pass so we quickly gathered all the kids and headed up to the old hwy. Each child chose a different aparatus to bring. Saige convinced her Dad to take Rollerblades so the 2 of them could practice, Rylan took her scooter and Ambria took her bike. I just took my 2 feet-and they didn't do too bad. We went for quite a ways and then Marks feet started to kill him (not use to rollerblading anymore). So after begging the kids to turn around we eventually rolled back home. Needless to say those couple of hours of sunshine were still worth every minute.
I did end up having to pull Ry and her scooter half the time but it gave us good time to bond and talk about all the trees that were fallen down, and of course sing songs.
I told Ambria that her hat made her look as if she had long braids. I am glad she attached her sisters basket, it came in handy for holding water bottles and Kleenex.
Look at them go-and no fighting!!!!!!! I suppose that is why I love to get out doors.
All the kids left me on the trail and raced back to the car. I was walking enjoying the sun and peace and I thought of how many times I have been on this trail but how every time it captivates me into the beautiful area which we live.
I am so glad my family is willing to go out and "do", be active and not idle.
