My kids are always trying to find fun ways to keep me on my toes. My dear friend was busy having a baby, I was watching her kids at her house and my husband was having a fun time with our kids-watching movies, popping popcorn etc.. I came home the next day and found out that the night before Rylan had stuck a popcorn kernel up her nose-It was so far that our regular in home tweezers wouldn't work. We gave it a day to try and work itself out-but it was pretty wedged. This morning I decided we better take her to the doctor and try and get it out before it pops into popcorn the next time she has a fever. We scrambled in and had 45 minutes of interesting maneuvers to try and remove this kernel. Since she was throwing a big fit and her body was thrashing around he couldn't use his long tweezers without hurting her. He got out this big suction machine-no use, tried having her blow it out-NO USE, we held her down (legs and arms as she squirmed and screamed). IT was fun to watch the doctor and nurse walk in and out of the room trying to get creative on what they could use to get this item out. Finally after a little blood the Doctor was able to stick this prodding stick down and unwedge it and sure enough it came out. OH MY. So that was one expensive piece of popcorn. I let her take it home as a souvenir and reminder not to ever do that again.

Wow! Lesson learned (hopefully) for little rylan!
We had a similar experience in the ER (since it was after hours) when Maisey was that age with the tip to a fat Crayola marker!
not an uncommon thing for a kid to do who knows why. glad it came out. no more popcorn for awhile.
Oh my gosh, Rylan surely can kick and put up a ruckus; I'm amazed they could get it out without using drugs on her! Whew...
