Duck crossing

We try and get to the river to feed the ducks when we have some time to spare on vacations. As a tradition when we were younger my dad bought a loaf of bread for each kid and they could have at it to feed the ducks. Each kid had their loaf and some had their bag disappear really quickly while others took their time to enjoy the experience. I just had to watch the kids to make sure the ducks didn't eat them. Kaedra got a kick out of the ducks.

Rylan was the most fearful of the ducks, but they sure weren't afraid of her one bit.

I think fun traditions should always be passed down to your kids. We use to do this a lot growing up because we didn't have a lot of money and bread was cheaper than going to the arcades, Disney rides etc.. It was fine with us though because we had our own loaf and momentarily all the animals loved us.

Ah, yes we used to this in the "olden" days but had forgotten about it. We'll have to do it this summer when I have all the cousins at my house on a Tuesday. Thanks for the reminder!
