Fourth of July Parade

It is pretty much a tradition to attend the fourth of July parade in Hood River. The girls love sitting around and watching all the cars, horses, people and patriotic declarations. This year we had our fly over jets, local bi-planes and then the naval marching band and the army marching band. It was great for a small town parade and we were able to spend the time with my sister and her family.

The girls discussing if they would become cheerleaders or not-not sure the outcome on that one.
Sometimes on the fourth it makes me get tears in my eyes when I see these young women and men serving our country and keeping our lives free. I am so grateful for the armed forces and for the risk that they take everyday in their lives.
My ribbon in my hair gave out at the beginning of my run but Rylan's gave out during the parade-you have to have matching bows.
                                                 Happy Fourth of July America.
